Edward MullinIn 2015 our beloved Eddie passed away after a two-year battle with glioblastoma. For those who knew Eddie, his personality was incredible and his smile could always brighten your day. Eddie had a survivor spirit. He battled cancer three times during his 32 years - each time with grace, courage and humour. After his third cancer was diagnosed, doctors determined that the cause of the cancer was a rare genetic disorder, bi-allelic mismatch repair syndrome (BMMRD).

It is Eddie's family hope that with more research into this rare disorder, we can prevent others from suffering the way Eddie did. In honour of his memory our family has set up the William Edward (Eddie) Mullin Fund in ‎BMMRD Research to support the work of Dr. Carol Durno at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Dr. Durno specializes in examining disorders like BMMRD and she is a renowned leader in her field.
