Les is the Managing Partner at Torys LLP. Mr. Viner is responsible for the firm’s overall strategic direction and client focus, as well as for all professional and administrative matters. He practiced accountancy with KPMG Peat Marwick Thorne in Calgary, Alberta, obtaining his Chartered Accountant professional designation in 1979. He practiced corporate, securities and natural resources law with Macleod Dixon in Calgary from 1982 to 1986, and international corporate and finance law with Allen & Overy in London, England, from 1986 to 1987. He joined Torys in June 1987. He completed his BComm from University of Calgary in 1977, LLB from University of Toronto in 1981, and LLM from Harvard University in 1982.
