Pilot program supports mental health care
for at-risk youth
Visits to Canadian emergency departments by young adults with mental illness rose by 50% from 2007 to 2015. Too often, these patients leave without the support they need. Dr. Daniel Drucker honoured with 2018 Principal Award by Manning Foundation
Dr. Daniel Drucker, Senior Investigator with the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, is the Principal Award Winner of the 2018 Manning Laureate Awards. The award honours Dr. Drucker’s achievement in revolutionizing treatment for short bowel syndrome, a disorder resulting in malabsorption of fluids and food due to a resection of the small intestine.
