I hope all who celebrated Passover enjoyed a happy and healthy holiday with your families.

On the subject of celebration, I wanted to share with you the incredible momentum around our upcoming fundraising events. From our Black, White & Diamonds event on May 3 at Saks Fifth Avenue in support of brain health and rehabilitation to the epic Hero Ride cycle from King City to Collingwood on June 4 and 5 in support of Bridgepoint, these events raise critical funds that help support Sinai Health System’s vision. To participate in these or other upcoming events please visit our events page.

I would also like to share with you the fantastic news that we have surpassed the $300-million mark in our $500-million Campaign to Renew Sinai. This is an incredible milestone for our organization, and we have you, our most loyal and generous donors, to thank. Every gift we have received over the past year has been critical to our efforts to improve clinical care, revitalize our programs and spaces and propel groundbreaking research.

Speaking of impact, The Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement and Canadian Frailty Network announced that 18 organizations across Canada and internationally will improve healthcare for older adults by adapting Sinai Health System’s proven Acute Care for Elders (ACE) Strategy in their healthcare facilities. The ACE Collaborative is based on Mount Sinai Hospital’s ACE Strategy led by Dr. Samir Sinha, Director of Geriatrics and Peter and Shelagh Godsoe Chair in Geriatrics. This is a shining example of how clinical and philanthropic leadership can shape the way health care is delivered.

Thank you for supporting Sinai Health System’s vital work to improve health care for all. With your support, we are poised for greater impact than ever before.
