 New blood test predicts preterm birth
Premature birth is the main cause of child-related mortality in the developed world, and is associated with up to 75 per cent of newborn disease. To better diagnose and treat this condition, researchers at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute have recently developed the most accurate blood test to date for predicting preterm birth as early as 17 weeks of pregnancy. |
