New study shows preterm babies and their parents benefit from family-centred model of care
The most fragile babies born at Mount Sinai Hospital are cared for in the Newton Glassman Charitable Foundation Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. A study just published in The Lancet Child and Adolescent Health by Mount Sinai neonatologist Dr. Karel O’Brien and Dr. Shoo Lee, Chief of Pediatrics, shows that the NICU’s Family Integrated Care model improves the wellbeing of both children and parents.
